What am I doing here? Do I have to do this again?
Two very simple questions that I asked when I was eight years old. I already knew that things weren’t what they seemed. The journey to those answers has been a lifetime journey. The magic of being alive is knowing that life, PERIOD, is fantastic! It is a dream state of a sort and we are the players in it. The rules are simple, believe the dream is real and it will cause one to get infinitely deeper, believe that it is an illusion and it will reveal the doorway to freedom.
There is no magic pill or quick escape, however, for those who choose to expect the challenge there is a fantastic journey waiting. I mean you can’t make this stuff up. I think there is no single purpose more important than seeking truth and how it relates to ones own path. We are students and our world is our learning ground. We are the light in the darkness but before we can appreciate that light we must understand it. We are dreamers in the dream world, we are here to learn who we are. Now a treasure like this is so precious that we must understand there is a reason it is called the road less traveled. Honestly, look at the road most traveled, ask yourself, “Is this the road that is appealing and rewarding or is it just familiar?”
I have experienced surrendering to the familiar. It’s a strange place to be. My discovery is that even though there is comfort in familiarity, it is nothing more than the same ole song and dance. In the end it complies more burden than it offers more freedom. Our attempts to escape often brings about more suffering. See the problem with desire is that when it is self serving it often embeds us deeper into the matrix called our lives. Now the question is, “Are you ready to see what’s really down the rabbits hole?” If so, then stop looking at the external world for the answers. The key to freedom is a process of freeing the mind which requires us to take a journey into our minds which is were most of the poison we suffer from has its origins. It is the place in which we decide what we take into our world and project into this world.
We must be willing to except that we are the antidote to the poisons for it is all within our minds. We are the ones who say, “I can’t!” at the end of the day, which only reinforce what we fear.
We are the dream weavers who are taught to imprison ourselves with our fears, desires, this very powerful force that we are all born with is often used in the most abusive way toward the environment as well as ourselves. If there is doubt just look at the world in which we live and see for yourself the potency of the “pied piper affect”. It has caused us in our insatiable appetite for objects to surrender our force the things that ultimately have no value, whatsoever, yet we are willing to destroy our lives as well as others, in order to obtain them. Many go through their entire life without realizing the most important thing, which is they to are a part of this universe and truly are the stuff that stars are made of. Most build a world of fear in an attempt to hide from their true destiny.
The secret is you don’t know unless you look!
